Discover Milos

World-renowned for the marble statue of the goddess Aphrodite that was found here but “lost” in the Louvre museum and its numerous, dreamy beaches, Milos in the SW part of the Cyclades, is endowed, thanks to the volcanic activity, with a multitude of natural beauties and unique attractions, while huge possibilities for all kinds of activities are offered even to the most demanding visitor.

Plaka

Visit the Venetian castle of the 13th century, with a wonderful view and an enchanting sunset. At its top, you can visit the church of Panagia tis Skioniotissa or Mesa Panagia. Near the ruins of the castle you will find the church of Panagia tis Thalassitra.

Sarakiniko

The beach, named after the Saracen pirates who used it to hide, is the most wild and unruly thing you can imagine in a coastal landscape. A half-excavated shipwreck makes the landscape even more atmospheric and mysterious, waiting for you to find its well-hidden treasures!

Adamas

It is the port of Milos, built in the bay which is considered one of the largest natural ports in the Mediterranean. The homonymous village was built in 1835 by Cretans and has traditional Cycladic houses.

Papafragas

The Cave of Papafraga, one of the most famous natural attractions of the island. Opposite, is the Glaronissia complex. The visit to the area is by boat.

Pollonia Village

Picturesque fishing village built in a beautiful bay, opposite Kimolos. Here you can visit the ruins of the ancient city of Phylakopi, on the Adamanta-Apollonia road, which flourished in three different time periods, representing all the phases of the Cycladic civilization.

Theater

In Klima the ancient Roman theater is worth seeing. Here in 1820 a farmer discovered the famous statue of Venus of Milos, which is now in the Louvre museum.
